A note before we begin
If you're reading this, you're already doing the hardest part.
Most people who reach out to me are quietly carrying something heavy. Maybe you're feeling —
- overwhelmed by debt you can't see your way out of.
- scared of an IRS letter you haven't opened yet.
- embarrassed to even say the word "bankruptcy" out loud.
- exhausted from collection calls and sleepless nights.
Whatever brought you here, please know this: there is almost always a path forward. And you don't have to find it alone.
How I help
Four areas of care, all rooted in the same idea: you deserve a way out.
Bankruptcy
Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 — explained in plain English and matched to what your life actually looks like.
Tax resolution
Back taxes, penalty abatement, installment agreements, offers in compromise. Real options, real relief.
IRS issues
Audits, wage garnishments, bank levies, notices that arrived in the mail. I handle the agency so you don't have to.
Debt relief guidance
Sometimes bankruptcy isn't the answer. I'll tell you honestly what your other options are.
Why people choose Catherine
A practice built around the person sitting across from me.
Compassionate
I lead with listening. You won't be lectured, rushed, or made to feel small.
Experienced
28+ years of bankruptcy and tax practice — and the calm that comes with it.
Honest guidance
If I can't help, I'll tell you. If a simpler path exists, I'll point you to it.
No-judgment approach
Every story I've heard, I've heard with respect. Yours will be too.

A little about me
When I'm not in the office, I'm at the barn.
I grew up around horses, and I've kept them in my life ever since. They've taught me more about patience and trust than law school ever did — that you can't rush someone into feeling safe, and that quiet attention is its own kind of help.
I bring that same steadiness into my practice. Whether we're talking through a Chapter 7 filing or an IRS notice, my job is to slow things down, listen carefully, and walk beside you until the path forward is clear.
